About Me

It all started in 7th grade when I started to take my art abilities seriously. I started drawing at every free moment that I could to get better.  When I was 14 I bought a VIC20 computer and was hooked ever since. Art and tech – that’s me. The pencil moves just as easily for me as coding a function. Fortunately for me there’s this thing called the web and a program called Flash that let’s me do both. Create art and code (or create code that makes art!). I have a great passion for engaging the user with any digital experience on any platform – and being engaged myself.

My philosophy – user experience is the most important. I’ve been creating interactive work since 1997 and using Flash since 2000. Through the years I learned to balance creativity with function, and push a project to its maximum potential while staying within budget. I started creating learning CD-ROMs with Macromedia Director (now Adobe Director) while at Image Base in 1997. The first few years at McDonald’s Corporation I created  interactive CD-ROMs, authored DVDs and created web sites. Recently at McDonald’s I’ve been providing solutions to enhance user experience for the McDonald’s intranet and aboutmcdonalds.com sites that both use Day Communique – a CMS tool. I’ve also managed small teams of external vendors to help with web site production or hired freelancers to work directly with me on-site. In all my jobs I have been the go-to person for consulting about rich media technology.
